Fossil Q is a smartphone companion app for Fossil Group hybrid smartwatches and touchscreen wearables running Wear OS by GoogleTM. The app allows you to pair and set up your watch, customize notifications and alert apps and manage connected devices. The app is a necessary addition to any Fossil hybrid or touchscreen smartwatch and should be installed right after you take it out of the box.

The main page of the Fossil Q app displays your activity stats, with a set of Apple Watch-like activity rings that display steps, active minutes, calories burned and heart rate. You can also see the number of missed calls, unread messages and unread social media updates. To get more detailed activity data, you can tap on the individual cards for each metric. The Fossil Q app also lets you compete in step count challenges with friends who use a Fossil smartwatch.

The Settings tab is fairly bare-bones and includes options to manage your Fossil Connect account, check your activity and sleep records, set notifications and update the software on your connected device. You can also enable or disable phone DND, though this isn't as granular as a dedicated DND application would be (you can only set DND for a specific period of time). You can also select which apps you want to receive notifications from and manage connected apps, which includes the ability to re-link the Fossil Wear app and turn off auto update.
